Often it seems that managing your money takes a chunk of time and energy we do not have. It seems to get in the way of our other goals and activities. This session is meant to streamline your financial life. You will learn the basic skills that you need to know to manage money rather than letting it manage you. You will learn way to simplify the necessary routines and handle your money with a positive approach and attitude. We will talk about "fun" money, investing in your dreams and the sure plan for that bonus money. These tips will carry you through a lifetime of living your life.

Does your financial health affect the rest of your life? Of course! But what does financial health really mean? And how can you optimize it in your life?

Financial wellness is an intricate balance of the mental, spiritual, and physical aspects of money. This unique combination is an ideal to strive towards in our dealings with money. It is having an understanding of your financial situation and a preparedness for financial change. Maintaining that balance consists of being comfortable with where your money comes from and where it is going. We will explore the ways money affects our lives and how we can come from a balanced approach when interacting with it on a daily basis. Come listen, learn and laugh about what role money plays in our life. You will learn what we can do to make it work for you. Information will be given on wise spending, intelligent investing and what to learn next on your financial wellness path.

Christine Doreen Moriarty is a Certified Financial Planner and member of the Association of Spiritual Retreats, she has a  background in accounting and small business management. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Vermont, where she received the Outstanding Senior Woman award. She graduated with distinction from Babson College with a Masters in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship.

Christine Moriarty works with individuals and small business owners to create financial peace of mind. The interconnectedness of small business finances and personal finances are emphasized through every step of the process. This includes the development of business plans, financial plans and marketing plans for the business.

While attending Babson College, Ms. Moriarty wrote the business plan for her financial planning practice. Two years later, she put the plan into practice first in Massachusetts and more recently Vermont. She has been adapting the plan and growing the business ever since. Today, she is available to lead workshops, speak and work as a financial coach.

Ms. Moriarty is a member of the Business Administration Scholastic National Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma and the Phi Beta Sigma Honorary Society. In addition to her financial planning practice, she teaches classes at the University of Vermont, assisting those contemplating entering their own business. She also donates her time and services to local charitable organizations.
