I loved the Celtic term Anam Cara when I first read it. It means advisor, and when you accept such a role for another being, it cannot be taken lightly. To be an Anam Cara means being responsible for the best of care and nurturing of the other being. It requires one to cherish another more highly than oneself.
My own Sacred Journey
I was born and raised in Ohio, where I would attend church every Sunday. I remember when I was about twelve listening to the minister give his sermon and thinking that there was something more to it. I knew that what he was preaching about was not the whole story.
I also spent a lot of time with my grandparents on both sides of the family. One of my grandmothers always talked to herself and folks said that she was "sick". Even at a young age I questioned that diagnosis because she had the most intelligent conversations of anyone. It was years later that I started to explore beyond organized religion for answers and I finally understood my grandmother. She had a gift she didn't understand without an Anam Cara to guide her. She had the gift of seeing souls that had left the physical body.
I have spent the past 17 years learning more about Absolute Source and it's power. It has been a process of gathering information, digesting it, and figuring out if it fit my ideas and ways of thinking. The time has also been used to develop my strong connection to Source and the healing arts. Becoming an Anam Cara to those that I come in contact with.
During the fall of 2005 I was introduced to Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT). This tool gave me a deeper understanding of the Universe, as well as a way to assist those in finding their most right and perfect path. It serves to guide me on this journey and I also use it to facilitate healing and guidance for others.
My most right and perfect path is to be an Anam Cara. Be it formally or infomrally. My passion is assisting others to find their way to their absolute destiny...and see them live their most perfect life. To welcome them Home...the way of Anam Cara
