Breathing Meditation: Stop all distractions and make your mind as clear and lucid as possible. This can be done by choosing a quiet place to sit in a comfortable place and meditate. You can try being seated in the traditional cross-legged posture or in any other position that you find comfortable for your body. To make sure to help prevent your mind from becoming sluggish or tired, sit with your back straight in whichever position you choose. Sit naturally and calmly with your eyes lightly closed and turn your full attention to your breathing technique. The object of meditation is to breathe naturally, through the nostrils, and become aware of the sensation of the breath as it enters and leaves the body. Any other thoughts or distractions that come into the mind should be pushed aside and excluded. Your mind will most likely fill with many different thoughts, but resist the temptation to follow them as they arise and remain focused on the sensation of breathing. Should the mind wonder again, revert back to the start and focus all the attention on the method and breathing process.
