Treatments
LifeStream is a dynamic process that allows traumas that block our growth to be experienced and so resolved. It emphasises the power of your own innate wisdom, helping you access your particular need and what is right for you at this time. Once the LifeStream process has been experienced you can then continue alone, with a friend, or in a group without supervision as it is a self-directed process.
LifeStream is a cleansing and healing process that works with you and will allow you to reach the point of resolution for the traumas you hold and carry with you. It is an active process and there is often a discharging or expression of emotions and feelings such as anger or grief with sound and movement. There is also an unfolding of your potential and the wonder of reaching further into your inner being. LifeStream is about being rather than doing, allowing things to happen by letting go and surrendering, rather than imposing, going with the natural flow of life within you.
In our society, many of us are conditioned into giving our power away to others by not accepting our personal responsibility. We are told what to do by teachers, doctors and priests. The idea that we are infinitely powerful ourselves and have the capacity to open directly to that wisdom is unusual and sometimes unsettling for many. One way to understand LifeStream is to view it as an expression of the body’s natural self regulating ability. If we are too hot we sweat, too cold then we shiver, the body tries to keep itself close to our optimum working temperature. Other expressions, such as sneezing, vomiting, crying, laughing and dreaming happen daily.
In most social settings we usually restrain everything, except what we think will be acceptable to others, expedient in the situation, or judged as correct. Once this habit of control is established then we may not give ourselves the freedom to allow our body to discharge tension through movement - to allow our full range of feeling responses, - to experience our intuitive process - and our own creative imagination, even in private. By blocking out our natural responses in this way we gradually reduce our possibilities, harming not only our relationships with others but also diminishing our relationship with life itself.
Each person experiences LifeStream differently as they are working with their own unique set of experiences and circumstances. Whilst it is possible to continue alone we have found that having a small group of like minded people meeting regularly is better for most.
As you are moved to find your way into the point of resolution you may be exercised in a way that seems to have no relevance to your life. This is akin to an athlete who, in training will be doing exercises, such as weight training, that have no direct connection with sprinting but are needed to build the strength to be able to run fast. So we may be moved in odd ways in order to build our strength or flexibility or trust to enable us to reach the point of resolution. Once this is experienced then the power that the trauma has held over our life is gone. We are no longer driven to act by the trauma and associated fear. The pattern will take a while to dissipate but true healing has taken place which will allow you to come closer to realising your true potential.........................and then we continue on our journey of growth, gradually freeing ourselves from the shackles of fear with which we restrict ourselves.
