Endless Mountain Zendo

Endless Mountain Zendo is a Zen Buddhist country practice center dedicated to the realization of the True Self. The style of practice here is based in the Rinzai Zen Buddhist tradition.

The Zendo is located in the midst of 18 woodland acres in the rolling hills of northeastern Pennsylvania. This natural sanctuary, abounding with wildlife, offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere for Zen practice. The Zendo makes available the teachings and practice of Zen Buddhism to all seeking it. Zazen (Zen meditation) and present-minded action lie at the heart of daily life and prac­tice at EMZ. While maintaining an ongoing daily practice by a small residency, the Zendo offers a program of events to the larger community for both beginning and experienced students.

First-timers are welcome to come to a Sunday Zazen Gathering, and thereafter attend other events. Daily zazen is the foundation practice of Zen life.  Group zazen inspires and helps stabilize our practice.
